Knock sensors universal?

Knock sensors universal?
Hey guys, just checking..

Is the Knock Sensor that i'd buy for a 95-99 Max the same for the other 3rd or 5th gen max?

Bump.

Also, does anyone know why there is only one wire going from the KS? There are two pins on the KS and two pins on the connector. Is that normal?

Does that mean that I may have measured the resistance on my KS wrong because I measured between the two pins on the connector? (The multimeter indicated open circuit.)

When I measure the resistance to ground, I get about 2 Megaohm on one pin, and a open circuit in another. According to the Maxima guru's, this means the KS is okay. I still get a 0304 code from the ECU, and nothing else.

I haven't tried making sure there is continunity between the KS and the ECU. There could always be a problem with the wiring harness, but I think that is unlikely.

The KS grounds through the block. If you are getting a consistent 0304 code with nothing else, the KS is bad.
