Question about tires

Question about tires
sorry about this simple question but i tried to use search and it wouldnt let me. so here goes.
I was thinking about getting new Kumho ecsta 712s for the 99 SE (stock SE 16s) and tirerack.com says 225s would work (as opposed to stock 215s) too because they are fed approved to fit between 6-8" rims and we are clearly within spec a 6.5" right? Based on this, I am kinda leaning on getting the beefier ones for looks. Will this adversely effect my handling seeing as the tires are gonna be slightly higher profile? Is it dangerous? Thanks!
PS: If there are comments of these Kumhos or suggestions about other nice tires,feel free to comment (as long as theyre quiet tires!)
