My bro just bought a '95 Maxima SE auto. We noticed that when turning the steering wheel while either moving or standing still, there is a pretty loud knocking sound coming from the front suspension. Any ideas for whats wrong?

While turning the well, look inside the fender well at the top where the spring seats. Notice any movement that looks out of the ordinary? If so it,s probably the strut bearing. Also does the car seem to wander the road when driving? Answer no then look under the car while turning the wheel and look for unusual movement.

Myc ar does that too. It's the upper strut bearings. Cheap parts, but big labor to replace. I'm getting mine done when I get my new struts put in.
