Alternator's shot - who makes a good replacement? Need It Yesterday :o/

Title pretty much says it all. I don't have time to wait for mail order. Car's broken & I need to fix it before work on MON.

I have access to all the standard local parts places:

AutoZone, Pep Boys, etc.

Any recommendations? Or, ones to avoid like THE PLAGUE?

I appreciate any responses asap - gotta go buy 2day!

Cheers,
-K-

PS: (I've had an AutoZone starter in my car for 20k mi w/ no problems so far)

the cheapest method is to call up a local mechanics shop and ask them how much a rebuilt alternator is, its alot cheaper than a brand new one

Thanks. Found a rebuilt through Discount Auto Parts for $158 with a lifetime warranty - probably gonna jump on that.

Not to sure what year your Max is, but my 1998 is presently subject to an Alternator recall. My alternator had the green sticker on it, which identified it as the recallable one! Check your local Nissan dealership for outstanding recalls on your Max. Good luck.
