Wreck

Friend of mine who was DD crashed my Max last night. He is a rather aggressive driver, and it took its toll last night. He was taking a turn too fast near a construction zone. We spun out in some gravel, bounced off a guard rail a couple of times, hit a barrel, and came to a rest. There was no hard impact, the spinning brought the car to a stop.

My car is pretty hosed, but it's cosmetic from what I can tell. Front and rear bumper, front and rear driver's side fender are probably done. I think the hood and trunk are both shifted slightly. Driver's front tire blew out and the wheel is done. Passenger door and front fender have deep scratches from a barrel. I don't believe there is mechanical damage, but who knows. We drove it home afterward.

I have pics up at http://jargoonepics.webhop.net.

I have to claim this on my insurance. I'm not looking forward to the rate increase, though my friend says he has my back on that and he's good for it.

Most importantly, not one of the 5 people in the vehicle has so much as a scratch. No other cars were involved. This could have been SO SO much worse than it was. People, please, be careful out there.

DD means designated driver. You're the first person I've ever seen who didn't know that. So you're the f*UCKING IDIOT.

I thought it was drunk driving too. And your friend is an idiot. That's why I never let anyone drive my car.

the most important thing is that you guys are ok. if he was DD, why didn't youse guys take his car?.. and if you know the guy is an idiot behind the wheel why did you let him drive?.. you know the maxima is a tempting car to play with.. specially if it's not yours.
good luck.

Tell your friend to slow down. He could kill somebody next time. You think this accident might teach him a lesson

True, if HE was assigned to being the DD, why didnt he just use his car? But whats done is done, I hope that he learned his lesson being an aggressive driver...especially since he did it in someone elses car, so he has to answer to you now

Since he was driving the car, shouldn't it get reported under his insurance? I can't see how your rates would go up if you weren't the one driving.
