It's a completely different HVAC system, not just a control pannel. There are many sensors throught the car which work with Auto Climate control. It's been determined that it's not worth the money to convert it.

my boy did this conversion a while back in his 97se. He had a parts car to get everything he needed from, roughly 8 pieces in all to do the conversion and thats not including removing the ENTIRE dash assembly from the car.
