Horrible coolant leak.
I've had a slow coolant leak for awhile, but its never been a big issue till lately. The other day on a 100 mile highway trip my cars heat gauge started to go past half way which is something its NEVER don't before. When i got home i noticed i had no coolant. So i filled her up and went out, the next day just as a check i opened the engine back up and looked inside and guess what no coolant. In the space i was parked in the night before i saw a nice lil puddle of green envirnmentally unfriendly stuff and i knew i was in trouble. So now i went from a leak to basically a hole. Anyone know an easy way to check/fix a coolant leak? Is there something you can poor in that might close the hole? I doubt it but i haven't had any time lately to look at it closely and i was hoping for an easy fix.
Remove the right splashshield and check the lower hose. Also, if you notice coolant on top of your radiator, then it may be time for a replacement. Either way, it's do it yourself and Advance Auto Parts will price match on radiators, but specify your trim level, because SE's are different tham GXE's and GLE's. (I just replaced mine last month and had to return the wrong one).
