ABS or Not....WTF??????

I dont have that yellow "ABS" light when you start the car so i figured i dont have abs... oh well. Then I lift my hood and notice that on the fuse panel to the right of the car (car facing you) that there are 2 fuses for ABS. I opened the box and the labeled indicators written on the box made me notice that the corresponding ABS fuese arent there. I go to autozone and fill those in with the propers fuses which is 30 AMPS. Nope.. Start the car and no yellow light. WTF..anybody (probly a stupid question.. i know..but please help me) I have 95 GXE.. did SE conversion but at this point probly not a true SE..no ABS..maybe

Your car does not have ABS. the space for the fuses going to be there. when they make it. if you have GXE model or SE usally they dont come with ABS. if you have GLE its diffrent story.

ABS on a GXE is pretty much no-existant IIRC.

Hmm..

I guess it depends on what kind of driver you are, some people would say ABS is annoying and some people would prefer to have it.

Consider it a option that's good to have if you have it, but not worth adding now if you don't.

Braking won't feel any different unless your are stopping really really hard.. or on a slippery surface. It does come in handy if you need to slow down very fast and turn the car at the same time. Without ABS, if your wheels lock you won't do much turning, instead you'll end up skiding straight ahead until you let off the brakes.
