try www.courtesyparts.com

No FREE S/H, but their prices are fair & S/H is reasonable, unless you're in Zimbabwe or something. . .

This might not help but its a suggestion just the same. If the merchant wants to sell their product then usually they will agree to the following. Most businesses have either a UPS or FedEx pick up, or both, everyday. So, it would be very easy for you to pre-arange a "pick-up" from one of the before mentioned shippers. FedEx is almost always cheaper and 99% faster. The merchant will deffinately know the dimensions and weight of their products so you could politely ask for those figures and let them know that you will be sending someone to pick up the item(s).
The easier way to go about it would be to get a quote from the merchant of how much the product will cost to ship. Thank them kindly and tell them you will call after you have comparison shopped. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THEIR ZIP CODE. At your leisure go to FedEx and the UPS website for rate quotes. If the merchant is way high on their shipping cost then let them know you feel it is high and you would be happy to pay the "actual" shipping fee's. Most if not all will agree. Please understand you can't come out and blatenly tell them what you think. Use some finesee and good judgement and you'll get what you want.

BTW...as far as shipping fees what do you consider a rape?
And since you were refering to websites, most of them will have an 800 # for you to call and get things straightened out. If not then DO NOT do business with them.

Re: shipping & handling

I always look at the S&H charges BEFORE bidding. If they seem high, I just offer them less for the item. I suppose they catch some people, tho, or they wouldn't set S&H so high.
