300 TT caliper SS line question
300 TT caliper SS line question
I got a good deal on some front calipers for my brake conversion, but no lines are included. Can I just buy some aftermarket SS lines for a 300 TT and will they will work on my maxima?
I wanted to know the same question so I went to the dealer. Supposedly, from 93 to 96, its the same for NA to TT. But from 91-92, it changed depending on the year and TT/NA. I would guess
that its the same basically because what company would do that to its people??
Hell, someone call NAPA and ask about the pad numbers- that might tell ya.
When ya find out- get back to me- cause I got a dime and I want my car to stop on it.

90 non turbo are 26mm alumninum
90 turbo are 30 mm aluminum
91 n/a and tt are 30mm aluminum
first part of 92 are 30mm aluminum (both tt and n/a)
later part of 92-96 are 30mm iron (both tt and n/a)
yes ss brake lines form a 300zx will work. you might not be able to put the line in it's bracket on the strut assembly.

WARNING, the fronts will work, but that backs will not. The back rubber hoses on the 300ZX are VERY short, and they will not fit on the Maxima. However, the fronts will fit perfectly.....I know....

so why cant we just use front ss lines for the rear?

but you would have to buy 2 sets of brake line kits (most kits come 2 fronts and 2 rears)
or get some custom done..

I was wondering because I found all 4 aluminum ones freshly remaned for like 300. I got to get 4 front ss lines if this works.
