I am undecided on which intake to get. I like the Injen because it brings in cooler air and doesn't require a hole in the fender. I also want a nice sound from the intake though. Does anyone have a sound clip of their intake? Please specify which one you have.

I don't have either, but you can view a dyno run of a maxima on the Injen website, that might be able to give you an idea of what their intake sounds like.

http://members.***.net/fierostetz/maxaccel.wav 0-60 run- microphone placed in front of the battery- its a homemade intake, closest to a frankencar
any others? That Injen sounds pretty nice on their website inside their garage. I'd like to hear one outside.....on the track or something.

Well you can here frankencars at their website, www.frankencar.com it is under media.
How come when I go to the Injen site at click on the intakes, the 94-98 Maxima link is not active? All of the other cars on the page are active links, but the maxima one is a different color and inactive?

what i like about the injen is that you have to go over 2500 rpm to start hearing the growl.. if you're just putting around at normal speeds it sounds stock.. so if you're going out on a date, your car wont sound like a rice cooker everytime you step on the gas. the other great thing about the injen is how it looks when you pop the hood.. a chrome cai tube going down in your engine bay.. looks
oh yeah, and you also feel the kick when you step on it.
