I like the height of the back but the front sits up to high and it will actually even out the front to the back

You need to lower the whole car.

I'd recommend lowering the whole car instead of just one half of it. Most aftermarket springs are a stiffer spring rate than stock meaning that if you only replace the front springs with stiffer ones, you'll have a lot of problems with heavy understeer, similar to putting a heavy sway bar on the front of the car.
Also, most aftermarket springs for the maxima take the height into consideration and lower the front more than the rear, so which ever springs you choose, except for intrax, you will have a uniform drop.

Thanks for the help..., I don't want it slammed, just 1" front and about .8" in the rear...the closest I've found is 1.4 (front) 1.0 rear.
any suggestions.
Thanks again

question

why does it seem like a 2 inch drop r3ally isn't very much. I mean I have never seen it on a car, but say I have stock 15 inch tires, and then I go to some 18 or 19 inch tires. Doesn't that mean I am raising the car 3-4 inches, and then a 2 inch drop would only lower it to have of what the stock height was. Am I missing something? It seems like this is a waste of moeny. Isn't there anyway to lower the card like 4 inches so you see a significant different or is that not possible with 18s or 19s?

just because you get bigger rims doesn't mean the overall wheel + tire diameter gets bigger. the idea is to keep the diameter the same so that your speedometer still reads right

I personally have eibachs, which were probably those springs you are talking about, if you'd like to see a picture of them, I have a few on my homepage. http://www.bol.ucla.edu/~drewm/maxima/
A lot of people say they ride really rough, which might be true, but that's just my personal preference. If you aren't looking for a rough ride, the H+Rs ride a lot softer and are a lot easier on stock shocks. The difference in drop between H+Rs and eibachs is extremely slight, most people can't tell.
I'd say H+Rs for you, they are about 1.6 front and 1.2 rear.

any others

I see. Thanks for clearing that up. I definitely don't want a rough ride. I don't know why anyone would want that. How are sprint and maxspeed sprints. I am trying to get the best ride I possible can. I have heard to use a maxspeed spring/AGX GR2 Strut combo to get a really nice and smooth ride. Anyone have any insight on this?

The maxspeed+any kyb struts will have you saying "I never knew this road was THAT bad" if you live anywhere where the roads aren't perfect.

Peace.

If you get adjustable struts and keep them on the softest setting I don't think any springs will be unbareable. Probably stay away from Eibach, Sprints and Intrax though.. Eibach is really stiff, Sprints are really low and pretty stiff, and Intrax are low and stiff, plus the rear rides a bit lower than the front.

I like the idea of the h+r,s 1.6 & 1.4. do I need a camber kit for the front and back or just the front.

Thanks for the help

Tokico blue struts+H&R springs. Smoothest ride w/ a nice drop. No camber kit needed in the front. The back tires can't be adjusted for anything anyway.

Also check out Progress springs, The right amount of drop and a ride like H&R, plus they are progressive unlike the maxspeeds

I don't have a camber kit, and my tires wear perfectly evenly, I'd say nope.

The stiffer the ride, the less your car will lean in a corner and (generally) the faster you can take a corner. Depending on a lot of other factors too.

I personally think maxima eibachs aren't very stiff at all. I've been in a Supra with H+R Race springs, and an eclipse with JIC coilovers and road race springs swapped in. Eibachs are soft.

Softest combo would probably be H+R + Tokico, or H+R + AGX, but they won't handle as well as an eibach + koni setup. It all depends on what YOU want out of your car.
