Gen 3 Altezza's

I am wondering if Gen 3 Euro's are the best for my 95'. There is a guy in town that says Gen 3's are the only ones that wont leak and therefor spend the extra little bit ($399.00 CDN) for them. Is it true that the only ones that dont leak are Gen 3's? If this is true, where can i find cheaper because I think he may be ripping me off.
Thx

Gen 3

The guy at the Autostore said that they are Generation 3, he said the ones you buy from APC.

This is what i was told 'I can buy Generation 3 Euro ALtezza's for $399.00 CDN(where i live) They are guaranteed not to leak, and they are better then other places i have found for cheaper price' I found a guy in Toronto who sells Euro's for the Max for $260.00 CDN and i told my autostore guy about this guy in Toronto and he said that he(Totonto guy) is getting them from some dealer who hasnt fitted them properly when testing.
I dont know the difference between Gen 2's and 3's. WHat is the difference?

I have no clue how to get a pick, I was never showed, nor where to see. So i am only going on when my guy told me. I would pay the price for Gen 3's if they didnt leak and the others did, but if he is just saying that they are called Gen 3's to get more money, i would like to know. I hope that the New Gen 3's are the Skyline type that were on here a couple weeks ago, they looked good.

The above link is jsut for pictures and the link below is the link to the site that sells them.
http://www.airdynamicracing.com/shop...ml?p=5&large=1

"Altezza Tail Lights Generation 3"

"Generation 3 altezza tail lights are designed to enhance your cars looks and style. They are manufactured with a double press procedure that prevents leaking, and cracking and creates a high quality setup."

All that Information above is what the site says, take a look, that';s the best i can do, now i dont know if these are actual Gen 3's because it says it, and it also says that they prevent leaks. So is my Autostore guy correct? if so are they worth $399.00CDN or so i buy **** ones from this other dealer in Toronto? Has anybody else had a problem with their Euro's leaking after getting the car washed?

i've never seen those before. they look like good quality compared to my crappy gen1's. they look similar to gen 2's but are definately something new, however compared to gen 2's, these say they fit the 95/96's. interesting find...buy them and try them out, if you don't like them, tell the guy you're not satisfied and get a refund.

Those look ok, but what color is your car? If its a darker color you should look into upgrading the normal chrome altezzas to Carbon Fibre, or Gunmetal. On the site it says you can upgrade for 19.99....For anyone with altezza knowledge whats the difference between these GEN 3 altezzas and the old GEN 1 altezzas....????

My car is a navy blue in dark light, and then dark purple in sunlight, i know that this is the original colour of the car because i was on a site and it told me that it will have the colour of the car on the VIN number. i am not too sure who else has this colour, but it's a nice colour. I will probably get the Gunmetal ones, but only if it's worth buying Gen 3's, once again, i am not too sure the difference between the 2, Can someone show me pics to compare my findings?

that's the difference in looks, but, they don't make gen 2's for 95/96's.

Scoops

I was looking for more pic's of Gen 2's/Gen 3's and came across this site http://www.andysautosport.com/nissan.html
This site proclaims to have scoops for a 4th gen max, if they do make scoops, why havnt i seen any on any other persons car?
n/m I think they are universal with all cars. You probably just buy the scoop, but have to place it yourself.
Unless i assumed wrong.

So should I buy them from my Dealer in Canada, or do i get them from the Internet where I would pay only a fraction of the price due to cutting out the middle man?

Once again, is there any difference between Gen 3's and Gen 2's?

Can someone please post a how-to link for the installation of these lights? I'm sure someone has posted a link before, but with the search feature out of commission....

Thanks!
