Has anybody done this by placing the Alum dash kit over the OEM Woodgrain, or removed it? Just seeing if this is an option

 

you can do it, but most of the time you will still see the wood around the aluminum dash, your better off taking it off, or if you want you can paint it over black and then put it on

Did you do this? People are saying that I have a molded kit, the wood is like molded plastic, not a flat piece and that the FLAT KIT cannot be overlayed if you want a good install...

I was considering just doing that though.. Maybe some black paint around the edges... ANYBODY ELSE?
