Clutch noise

Hello all,

When I depress the clutch pedal, the travel of the pedal is not smooth and make noises. I removed and greased the two pivot bolts on the clutch pedal assembly. The condition of the pivots seemed fine to me. Could the noise/rough feeling come from the clutch master cylinder? Can the rough feeling be transfered from a clutch part trough the clutch fluid to the pedal?
Otherwise the clutch works fine.

Any help in this matter is much apreciated,
SC

Somehow, this sounds expensive. How can I determine for sure it is the that bearing?

well you have to take apart the tranny and clutch im pretty sure...
its more of a mechanic job
but i wouldn't go through all that work to just check it...if you disassemble everything, replace the clutch which will have a new throw out bearing.

Thanks for your reply. Do you think that a trained transmission man would be able to tell me if it is for sure the throw out bearings or will they have to take it apart?
What are the consequences of not fixing it right away? Can it cause some other failure?

Thanks,
SC

There is a spring thats on the pedal just like the spring on the brake pedal. make shure that spring didnt pop out of place or anything like that. Also theres a pin adn clip that connects the pedal to the master cylender and make shure that pin didnt knock out of place which may cause it to push on the master cyl wrong.
