My "MIL" light stays on with code 0807 (EVAP Emission Canister Purge Control/Solenoid Valve). I'm interested in simular experiences and what needed to be replaced. I've checked the canister purge control solenoid valve, it appears to be functioning properly.

What the heck???

Why is the part going bad on everyones car? Mine went bad (same time cylinder number 1 blew up). 7-8 people I heard from had theirs go bad too.

I've reset to "MIL" light several times, only to have it reappear w/same code. I have an ALLDATA account, which allows me access to Nissan date. Even w/follow to various dianostic procedures it leads me no where. The dealer same it would be $500 to replace two parts. The canister purge control solenoid valve and purge control valve.
