96 ECU in 97 Maxima?

96 ECU in 97 Maxima?

I just got my 96 ecu that was going to send to JWT to have it modded. I want to test the ECU by putting it in my car first. I was wondering if there would be any gains by putting a stock 96 ecu in to my 97.

Will using a 96 stick ecu in my 97 stick cause a cel? I will probably be doing the JWT thing soon myself.
