02 sensor shot?

1) ok, when I start to "beat" on my car, and do it for maybe like 10 minutes...aka bring the car up to 5 k, and jsut drive fast..my cel light comes on, and throw me 0303, an o2 sensor code...could the sensor need cleaning, or do i NEED a new one? the light wont come on unless i drive the car hard for a couple of minutes...

2) also, is this hard to fix? could i change it myself? any info would be appreciated, and

3) if its hard, i would gladly pay someone (in ct) who REALLY knows what they are doing a couple of bucks, (i am still saving over a mechanic!) to come and help me...! (also if you are planning on asking me about gas milage, i JUST filled up my tank to find out, i am down to half a tank now, with 178ish miles on the trip odo, and this is after doing some hard 0-60 acceleration tests..so THAT def. sucked a little gas, flooring it tends to do that)

4) i am also thinkin that while i have to change this o2 sensor, why not do the y-pipe too! whattaya think?

I'm getting the same fault. I called auto zone today and they quoted me 77 dollars for the part (OEM part). Also, they have a free tool loaner program where for 15 bucks they'll lend you this special socket for changing it and if you return it they'll give you the money back.
