lowerin my max

i wanna get the most lowerin bang for my $, and the guy that's lowerin my car says I can just go with intrax springs and keep my current struts . Do I need new struts....or shocks...what the heck do I need are struts the same as shocks...I need an expert opinion. My car's got 107,000 miles on it...and I'd ratha get it done now if I have to cuz he's already gonna be in there....please help me do this right. thanx

Basically you dont NEED struts (which are the same as shocks BTW). But if you dont get them then your ride is going to be bouncy and harsh. And you stock struts will most likly wear out quickly and you will need new ones anyway. Bottum line is is reccomended that you get new struts when lowering a car with aftermarket springs.
