Hello all. Recently I have been hearing some loud and annoying squeeking from the engine bay, while my car is one, idle or in gear etc. Doesn't appear to be the power steering belt/pulley. Looks like the middle one thats like behind the others? Altenator belt/pulley. Not positive, but I know its one of those 3, it goes away when i give the car a good amount of gas as if the pulley was spinning faster, fast enough to stop the squeeking. When i look at it when the car is idle in park etc. or in drive. the pulley itself appears to wobble a little bit, and Im almost positive this is the source of the problem. This just started like a few weeks ago, it has been really damp out or wet and cold..it doesn't squeek all the time, but it does wobble all the time. Seems to be better when its warm/dry out or just dry really. Any thoughts?
If this is the Altenator pulley/belt how much would it cost to get this fixed possibly the replaced? the belt appears new from what it looks like anyway, maybe it just need some grease? Im not sure. If anyone has some input it would be great specially price of pulley and the belt etc. Thanks!
