Headlights?

What headlight bulb is everyone out here using? What type of wattage is ok? Are the bulbs blue or just a white?

are 9004 65/45W XENON HID BULBS, a good match for my maxima?

Re: Headlights?

If you want to really see better, go with Philips HiVision. They are affordable and brighter than stock. If you want both looks and you still want to see, perhaps try Sylvania Silverstars. Just don't get any of those bulbs off ebay. The blue tint decreases visibility.

stick with standard wattage.

64/45 is cool... but if it's one of those blue-coated bulbs it's actually decreasing visibility.

noooo don't get Silverstar. They are too overprived for what they do. I had them and return them the next day. Go with HID's HEHE

Silverstars are more expensive than... say, Philips Bluevisions. But, don't go with PIAA. I don't think 60 or 70 bucks is worth it. At least Silverstars are around 40 per pair. Bluevisions are cheaper than that.

Yup, I just recently got HID! SO BRIGHT!

Not sure about the Philips Hi-vision that Kev926 mentioned, but I you can look at my sig and see the bulbs I did compare.

For a slightly whiter look and better visibility, I'd recommend the Philips BlueVision. You can get them for less than $10/bulb at Kmart. I have Piaa SWs and if I had to replace them, I'd go with the Philips BlueVisions (much cheaper and almost exactly the same)

Philips HiVisibility do help you see better, but they are not whitish or bluish in color. They are stock color. Bluevisions are slightly whiter, and they also help you see better. I have never compared the two side by side, but from what I heard HiVisibility is better in vision, but if you want the color as well Bluevisions are great. Silverstars are more expensive, but are good as well.

Sylvania

I bought and installed TWO Sylvania Xtravision bulbs (9004) for $15.99 and couldn't be happier for the price. Properly aimed headlights make a big difference in road lighting too. Any autoparts store should have them. I highly recommend them for value alone.
