Y-pipe, B-pipe and 2001 muffler installed

Well I just had my Budget y and resonated bpipe installed this afternoon, along with my 2001 muffler. First thing i noticed is that it starts and burbles, kinda like a small V8. Sounds nice and deep. I did notice some more power up top, but i havent reset the ECU. It all fit perfectly too. Im glad i put the 2001 muffler on cause with an aftermarket straight muffler it woulda been way too loud. I havent had a chance to get on the car cause i found out my clutch and final drive are shot, so basically i need to find a new tranny soon. But the exhaust is really sweet sounding and well worth the $$$

Ok, I've seen lots of people talking about their 2k1 mufflers. Please forgive me if I sound like a fool, but that's a muffler off a 2k1 max right?

Where did you in particular go to get that and how much did it cost ?

Yeah its the muffler off of a 2001 Maxima, its a variable capacity muffler. I went through Warpspeed Performance for mine and it cost me 150 Shipped.

I asked this forum a few months ago about folks with this muffler. Warpspeed told me it was all stainless steel. But their photo on the website looked aluminized steel. Do you have a picture of your muffler?

Straight through mufflers are not necessarily loud.
I just installed my Budget Y pipe, B pipe and Magnaflow muffler.
The B pipe is resonated, and the muffler is 18" long, close to stock size.
Not loud at all.
Most people who have loud / drone, I bet , have the tailpipe terminate under the bumper which causes sound to redirect back into the car.

When I ordered it from WSP they told me that it was stainless, but it does seem to look like aluminized steel. Ill try and get a picture of it for you.

It's stainless. It's just not a polished stainless.

Sounds good doesn't it? I wasn't expecting a change, but there was....for the better. It is definately more throaty and healthy.

Yeah i was expecting maybe a slightly deeper sound, but i was shocked to hear how just plain mean it sounds in the low end, gets quieter up top and when you let off the gas it has a nice mellow sound to it.
