offset question- over +40 ok?

this is such a noob question but whatever,
+43 specifically, is it doable without spacing or any complications? 7" rim.
thanks

also is 235 definitely too wide for a 7" rim? 215 ok?

i sort of paid attention when these things were discussed previously but i cant remember without search, sorry

+43 Will work fine, you should have no rubbing at all. However I believe the perfect tire size for a 17"x7" rim is 225/50-17.

215 and 235 are recommended by tire companies that sell packages for 17 x 7 rims, ex: tires.com just sold me pair of rims 17 x 7, tire options were 215/50/17, 235/45/17, 235/50/17. i chose the 235/45/17, we'll see in a week how these are, those sizes should be fine

i posted a question about this a couple days ago. 235 on 17x7 = no good. 225 or 215 is best for the 7" wide rim.
check this thread:
recommended tire size for 17x7

you can also check this site for comparison to your stock tires:

thanks a bunch guys. yeah i figured the 235 = no good but 215 should be better. 225 of course is perfect.
best of luck waveridr- should be good!

for the best look to with 38-40mm. Although 43 will work, the rim will still be a little inset.

No pics, sorry. I am without any ability to download pics at the moment.
I saw yours but the combination of my crappy monitor and the small pic made it impossible to see.
