shop put my springs on upside down (kinda long)
I just had a shop install my lowering springs on Tuesday and when I drove my car away everything was real bumpy, I mean I was bouncing all over the place! They also made a bad rattling sound. I looked at the springs in the front and the coils that were close together were on the bottom. Luckily I knew this was wrong because of the vast wealth of info on the org. But I called my mechanic anyways and he told me that was wrong. So I went back to the shop and they told me that it wouldnt fit the other way and it doesnt matter which direction the springs go in. I said "No, you are wrong." So he called Neuspeed and talked to a tech support guy and that guy also said it doesnt matter which way progressive springs go in as long as they fit nicely. But I told the installer I dont care and to flip them around. An low and behold, my Maxima rode nice and smoothly again, no rattles.Just let this be a lesson to those getting springs, or anyhting, installed by a "performacnce" shop. They dont necessarily know what they are talking about.
on a positive note though, they did tell me it was nice to see not another riced out civic coming in to get a huge wing or body kit installed. they really dug my car.
