Probably your intake. When I have the engine under a specific load, it will make a really high pitched "eeeeeeeeeeeeee" noise, but you can barely hear it.

I don't think its the intake. it makes more of a squeaky hinge noise when you push the gas pedal at a certain angle.

The noise I'm talking about is a really high pitched "air though a tiny tiny opening" sound. I've only noticed it since I got an intake and when I have the throttle at a certain position.

my intake makes a hissing sound right at the moment when i step on the gas after changing gears... and after that its silent unless i really stomp on it. is that what youre talking about? if so, i think its normal

I can hear my intake sucking in air when its idle, and if i slightly push the gas it just makes a little bit of a louder noise. I've heard its very normal.

I know EXACTLY what noise you are talking about, it sounds just like air being sucked into a small opening under a certain load. On mine it's when the load is very light, like when I press the gas, starting up my street.
Lately I have developed a new noise tho...it's in another post here about a squeel under load, this is a heavy load. just before a downshift when you are in the throttle, at say, 70MPH. So it's like this......running 70, get into the throttle kinda hard, but just not quite hard enough to make it downshift, there is when it squeals, at first it sounded like an exhaust leak, but has since got louder and now sounds more like a squeal. I hope it's just a bad belt. I had the alternator done under the recall, and hope I didn't get a bad one, or I have something else MAJOR wrong.....

Oh the air pi$$ing sound, I think alot of people get when they put on intakes, I would not worry about it. I have searched and searched for a vac. leak and can't find one. It dosen't seem to affect performance, so I just forgot about it. I can't hear it unless my drivers window is down, it is kinda irritating tho.
