Aaron did you only put the 300ZX brakes on the fronts? Also are spacers or anything required for the wheels to clear the brakes on our car?
Finally, is there anything in the basic parts list besides calipers, rotors, pads, lines, and the hardware kit? I may do the swap in the future, but I'd like to pick up 300ZX wheels like yourself.

No spacers needed to clear.
Nope just the hardware kit......lines, pads and rotors. Calipers of course

Can't do the rears, you'd lose the parking brake. I wanted to way back in the day when I got the fronts done, but then after some research realized it wasn't going to work.
BTW, you can use your factory brake lines with the calipers, they work. But since you're down there, you might as well swap out for SS ones. If you already have SS lines, then you don't need new ones.

But how long is my car going to remain and automatic
After a long, long hiatus, work finally resumes on my car. It's basically spending the next 4 months in shops, but it'll be worth it when it's all done.

I was research and read about the 240SX -> 300ZX brake conversion and read this:
"The unfortunate part in converting your 240SX stock brakes to 300ZX 4 piston calipers is that on the stock 300ZX set-up, Nissan plumbs a hard metal line from the strut assembly to the caliper, and then supplies regular rubber line from the strut to the fender well. The stock 240SX brake line relies on a 10 mm banjo fitting at the caliper along with brass washers, to create the proper brake line seal. On the 300ZX caliper, Nissan relies on an inverted female flare with the appropriate male brake line flare to seal. Using your stock 240SX lines on the 300ZX aluminum calipers is both incorrect, and unsafe. (the 300ZX caliper is NOT designed to accept the mating surface of a banjo fitting)"
I'm considering the conversion at some point, and I already have SS lines.

Yeah. I had Maxima SS lines bought, then decided to do the conversion. Nobody at the time (3 years ago) could tell me whether or not it would work. So we just got the calipers, fitted the SS line to it, checked it, and it worked. It's been 3 years and I haven't had any leaks, brake problems or anything of the sort.
I havent' been under there in so long. Does the Maxima use a banjo fitting there?

That is a banjo fitting. Hmm, well, it's up to you I guess. I did this before anyone could tell me otherwise and haven't had any problems yet.
