HELP my gass mileage !!!!!

i have posted before i will post again, i have chanaged the following
and still my gas milleage are down the drain :
*Spark Plugs
*Fuel Filter
*PCV valve
*Did the Engine Treatment
BUT i am still getting less than 300(around 260-280) miles per tank. and i do almost 75% of city driving. I know this is not normal i have read other peoples MPG and they are outrageous. what else should i do ? i have 2 errors coming up one is "EVAP Canister vent control valve" and the other one is " Speed Sensor". But i doubt they have anything to do with MPG.
Pease help a poor guy

Both of those could affect your MPG. Fix them and report back..... And I assume you did the air filter too?

And make sure you use high-octane gas, don't rev it over 4,000 and drive it like a grandma for the whole tank. Also figure out your exact MPG. Miles per tank doesn't mean anything!

Thanx bro, how do i get to know the MPG ? and i have changed the fuel filter i have a stillen kone. i just posted something in other thread i just want to know how many people who are doing 300+ are living in states like NYC especially who drives in Manhattan, queens, brooklyn how much they do ? Becasue i am pretty damn sure driving in any of these cities is not as same as driving any other part of country.( there are always exceptions like DC,VA Cali).
But yea i will definatley fix those and report back thanx for writing up

MPG=

Fill your tank until the gas pump clicks off. Reset your trip odometer to 0. Drive it like a grandma until you're almost on Empty. Slow starts, and don't rev it past 4k. Fill it up again til the gas pump clicks off. Note how many gallons you just pumped. Note your miles on the trip odometer.

Miles / gallons = MPG

If you're getting over 23 or so driving in stop and go traffic with reformulated winter gas (which is what you've got in NYC) then you're fine.

I can get around 27 on the highway if I keep it under 75 mph average. On one trip I run up to NH a lot I average 90 mph (with a couple long 120mph+ runs) and get 16-18 mpg. The way you drive makes a huge difference.

Well I basically drive like a Grandma around here on the local streets. Shift at 3K RPM, slow starts, and I just went to the gas station yesterday, filled it up about (almost half empty) and I calculated I only got 17.5 MPG! 124.4 miles/7.5XXX gallons. Ugh! Gas is killing me! Anyways, just wanted to vent. Going to replace my fuel filter soon, and I think I'm getting the same codes (EVAP Canister thing). My mechanic said I probably have a leak in my gas fumes' lines. Anyways, if you fix it, tell me how it goes

I also get around 15-18 mpg, but I drive 95% local Queens, but If i get to long trip , i usually get 25-30 mpg.
Remember, in Queens, there is a jam every 3 blocks and a red light every half block. My max is 98 auto ....
