just got an oil change! car drives smoother
After a little over 5,000 miles i finally got an oil change. I thought it would be safe because im using mobil 1 synthetic oil. My car is so much smoother now. Do you think 5,000 miles is too long a interval between oil changes. I heard amsoil owners do not change there oil in a year . I think next oil change i'll be picking up some amsoil. Please post opinions.

5000 is not that, I think everyone will recommend 3000 miles per every oil change. It may be a little different with synthetic. The smoothness will only last about a week. I love the feeling of a fresh oil change.

you should try to change it more oftem than 5000, dont worry about what people say they did or will do. And i know what you mean by smother, when i just got my car , righ after i changed the oil it drove much better (because the previuos owner didnt do it often by the look of the oil i had).

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=100060 The oil analysis study shows all the different mileages some people have been using with a bunch of different brands. It's interesting reading.
