To catback or not to catback?
Ok, i just bought a y-pipe and a high flow cat, now i am debating the issue of getting a catback (i would get the obx if i were to) or to just buy a mufffler from ebay. what yeilds the highest hp gains for the $$$. any input is appreciated.

There are minor gains with any cat-back unless boosted. Most people buy cat-backs for looks or something cool on their mod list (look at mine
). Go to your local muffler shop and ask how much 2.5" piping with a resonator (to prevent horrible noises) and a muffler of your choosing will cost, then compare that to cat back prices. The HP diff is minimal if any.

from wat i heard greddy SP gets the most gain, second is a'pexi/obx... but greddy is a bit louder, and a'pexii/obx tends to sound closer to stock...
i wouldn't recommand ebay muffler unless u have a turbo/SC/nos, cuz their piping is big and there is no gaurrentee tat it'll provide gains... and most of them requires welding which is another $50 or so rite there =X so why waste $$? jus save up and get a complete catback system...

The only Pro to cat-backs is that you can always unbolt it and sell it if need be.
