I talked to Cheston briefly about it and he told me that they sell some kind of spray I think.

From what I hear, A spray could damage the Hot Wire. Just wipe the dust off of it. It has self-cleaning feature anyways, when it does the burn-off on shut down.

If you have a K+N re-oiling and cleaning kit, use the cleaning spray that came with it....If not, buy one, or use throttle body cleaner

I believe there is a spray sold in auto parts stores called Electronics cleaner that you could use on the MAF.

Which stuff?

Chinanitrous (sp?) or Emax...one of em, used the k+n cleaning kit on there dying MAF, and it brought it back to life

A friend was told my a tech at the Nissan dealer to soak it in TB Cleaner, and then to get it off after, and re-install...Worked like a charm as well

I use a clear plastic bag and 99% Isopropanol. Fill the bag half full and drop in the MAF, shake it around (not real hard) for a few minutes to ensure the liquid has cleaned the MAF, remove and let it air dry. Make sure it is completely dry before reinstalling, it could take an hour or so.

I have done this twice now in the last year, it works great. I got the idea from a VW site but lost the URL.

Isopropanol is available in most Pharmacies, get at least 95% or higher do not use 75%.
