225/60/15 ?? someone clear this up for me

got a 99 Gxe,and the tires are 205/65/15. That is the standard size

 

The Stock size for the Maxima tires is different for different models.
The GXE has 205/65/15 or 205/65/16 I think. The SE's have wider tires and lower profile. SE standard tires are 215/60/15. I'm not sure about the GLEs.

 

My '95 GLE came with 205/65-15's

 

It depends on the rims that your car came with, as I think they had varying widths (depends on the year). My 96 GXE I think has 15" x 6" steelies, and it came with 205/65R15's. However, I have 215mm tires on it now, Dunlop Sport A2's (a very good tire). I was told I probably could have put 225's on as well.
