do u clean your cai filter?

ok since the filter is outside instead of in the engine bay does it get dirter faster?? cause i bought a k&n cleaner/charger for 8 bux. should i clean it or wait till spring time? how often should we clean are filters? ive had mine on for like a 10 monthz now

you should clean it

if you had your k+n for 10 months you should have at least cleaned it once. Just follow the directions on the box and you will be fine. I have pr cai, so my k+n sits at the bottom of my fender. I think it picks up more dirt down there than the engine bay.Of course I could be wrong. But since I try to milk every once of performance out of my car I try to clean it once every 2-3 months.

i installed my CAI in late October sometime, and after driving the highways almost everyday and gettin my car sandblasted i think im gonna clean mine as soon as it gets warmer here in NY.

i get alot of crap in my Filter becuz of my gxe having no fog lite..

so yeah. it's recommended to clean the filter like every 8-10k miles..

just don't over drench the filter with the red-goo.

yup that was my problem the first time.

didnt dry for a week!
