the damn tranny was fubared, I took the car to the dealership this morning, and the Technician drove 10 feet and says..."yup you definately have a problem" The service manager then proceeds to tell me that they can't take it apart to look at it till tomorrow...I'm like "I've got an appt for 9am and its 8am, what do you mean you can't look at it?"

Asst. Service manager: "well you have a problem, but who is going to be paying for it?"

Me(in calmest voice): "I brought the car in with the same problems under warranty and you guys shoo-ed me, but I'll wait for the used car manager to come and we'll discuss it"

Two hours later (10am) used car manager comes in and says, "Buddy, seems you have a problem (NO S h!t sherlock).

He says they'll fix it as if under warranty because I did bring it in with the same problem while I was still under warranty (no longer under it).

I left my baby, they are sending it to a tranny shop, the input shaft/diff bearing and probably T/O bearing are hosed, but they are fixing the damn thing! We'll see and I'll keep you all updated!

hopefully they fix it all fine....im always skeptical of used car lot mechanics, as well as any mechanic period....i dont trust them as far as i can throw them...

F$%*king stealerships. I admire your patience, I think i might have found a large torque wrench and started making threats i couldnt back up

 

I would have lost my patience and started cursing at the people.

 

its not a regular 'ol used car dealership, its actually a Nissan Dealership that has other stores (mitsubishi/toyota) and stuff. I had my back up plan ready if they were not going to cooperate...I would have called the Fox news...and gotten them bad publicity which hurts more than the cost of the tranny, not to mention the aggravation they would go thru. To my surprise they were cooperative and I just kept saying in my head "Calm down, don't get hype" of course when there's possibly $1k + on the line....I'll calm my 6'5" *** down! Supposed to either have it back by Friday or Monday/Tuesday latest...sucks...I wanted to go to the meet this weekend!...****! oh...well

 

that was a setup.. the ole.. get the black man mad so he can seem violent and they can call police and you don't get ****..

Well..I was either supposed to get the car back today or monday and come to find out that the ******* haven't even looked at it...this stuff really irritates me, I'm wondering what it takes to have something like this fixed?? They used car manager is an A-HOLE too...but I'm still keeping my kool...trying to keep myself from going there to kick his ****...means I can't go to the meet this weekend....
