questions about 20's

I am most likely going to be buying a 99/00 maxima within the next month. Whatever car i end up getting, i am going to be putting 20" rims on it. I was wondering though:
1) can 20" rims even fit on a 99/00 maxima
2) if so, what kind of tires would work the best
3) would there be any room to lower the body (springs) and how much, or would i even need to raise the car?
thanks a lot.

If all you want is something to put twenties on, why not use a red wagon? Then you can pimp around town in your wagon and have your dog pull you by a rope...

Everybody will be like: "Damn check out this guy and his dubs!"

Think of all the money you will save on buying a car!

Yes, 20's can fit. There are a couple of thread around here with guys with 20s on their ride and even 21s on a particular one. I think the run like 245/35 20 or 245/40 20s. There won't be much room to lower the car unless you roll the fenders to preven a rubbing situation. Somebody will eventually post up the links with 20s as this question has been beaten to death.

yea, 20's will fit and you could lower it up to 2 inches as long as you roll your back fenders. check my sig. i'm running 245/35's and i have H&R's with KYB AGX's....about a 1.4" drop. if you get 20's i would also try and get a kit to make it look lower...to keep things somewhat in proportion. my kit's getting put on now.
