looks like it will work. When you get it on make shure that the boot can easly go over the strut and not bunch up

hey speaking of boots... i still have stock struts and like... when i looked at one of em the other day, they look like seperate rings and they got jammed into the shocks or something... it just looks like a bunch of black rubber bands. Would that cause probs?? haha it sounds like it would... but havne't experienced anything yet!

Ya thats how all original dust boots look - exactly like you said - a bunch of crusty rubber bands...

It won't cause any harm on your shocks, but when replacing you should trash em. You don't need dust boots at all but they will significantly lengthen the life of the shock or strut.

Update:

I brought the boots to work (where the struts are located) and tried it on the top of the front strut- 100% perfect fit. Now the problem-

What do I do to trim the bumpstop? Where do I trim to regain the suspension travel?

Sadly enough, the same thing occurred to me...

how much did you pay for the Monroe boot kit? and is that only the front kit you bought or both front/rear?

im looking to swap put my suspensions and i need to change my OEM boots badly. Let us know how much you have to cut off the bumpstop also

The rear are made by TYR and are listed as the KYB part number for both the max and a miata. The fronts are made by some strange brand. I have NO idea about the bumpstop, but the whole setup was $65-70 for all 4 corners. I can get the part numbers if anyone else wants them...

You can buy the KYB dust boots from Cattman for $70 shipped. They come with the Bump stops already trimmed. You can see my pics here.

Unfortunately I need them for a meet this weekend. A bunch of DC area guys are getting together to do suspension installs, so I need them before sunday. Hopefully everything will work out on them.
