Strange Noise...

Hi all,

New here so let me ask my first question!

First off let me tell you about my car, 1995 Maxima GXE 70,000 miles Auto, JWT Intake, Apexi Exhaust, some basic exterior mods, nothing real fancy... but my problem is i get a strange noise thru my aftermarket stereo (Pioneer Head unit, Pioneer speakers, ADS PH 15.2 amp, 2 JL subs) when the volume is down, you can hear the car accelerating in a high pitched noise thru the speakers, it ONLY does this (or notice it) when under semi-hard/hard acceleration, and you can hear some interference I guess when your just sitting still, it only does this when the engine is on, if you put the key on the electrical setting only there is zero noise.. so im not sure if its a ground or something.

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before.

Thanks,

Justin

You're probably getting noise from the alternator. Try posing this question in the audio forum, more knowledgeable stereo people there.

i had the same prob you`ll need to get a better ground for your amp, also the ground wire shouldn`t really be any longer that 18 inches
Just wondering if anyone has had this problem before.

Thanks,

Justin

Shorten the ground wires for the amp(s) before you try anything else.
