Matrix FSTB Results

Matrix FSTB Results
I recently purchased and installed a $35 FSTB from Matrix for my '97 SE. The installation was a snap.
Interestingly though, although it seems the car handles more predictably when taking a 90 degree corner, the Dunlop Sport A2's squeal earlier now with the FSTB installed. The FSTB is tight; torqued to 30 lb-ft.
I have a favorite exit ramp that is shaped like a clover leaf. With my Cooper Cobras I could do about 45 mph before the wheels would start to squeal. With the Dunlop Sport A2's I could do about 53 mph. Now, with the FSTB installed, the wheels squeal a lot by 50 mph.
Any similar experiences?
I expect my RSB this weekend. I'm curious how that will change things.

ebay FSTB are a very good choice since theyre pretty cheap and do the same as the stillen bar. The only differences are the brand and the look so if your looking for a nice bar, stillen would be a better choice(but a bit expensive) and if you only want a bar to perform, get one from ebay.

i got ebay front strut bar, addco rsb and i dunno what brand rear strut.. it may jsut becuase im still on stock springs and struts.but i dont notice much of a difference in the speed i can take a turn. car jsut feels flatter, but the max spee for a turn is pretty much the same. ig ot a fav clover turn too, took without bar at 45 and with all bars at like 47 before i feel it start to slip. mayb just be my old dunlops d6 a2's though..tires are crapp..oh well. agx and maxspeeds going on in a a week...hopefully that will make a big difference.

I installed mine last week. I had big problems w/ it tho... one of the strut bolts stripped and I had to cut it off. After all the trouble, the install didn't seem too exciting. I do notice a little difference but I want an RSB now.

anyone ever tried preloading the bar? jack the car up, then install the fstb, supposed to make the bar have an even tighter fit, making the chassis flex dissappear completely.... alot of the guys from zilvia.net did this and some said it felt tighter on their 240s... anyone ever done that?
