When i bought it none of this stuff was there....everything worked....when i saw the car ..it was dirty as hell inside...the leather was pretty worn..and he didnt do his 120k service (it had 125k..ther was a couple dings in it..nothing major....still rode smoothly though....i bought it for 4000...pretty good deal considering the other maxima around me like this one were 7000+......the trunk thing, i'm thinking was because someone lightly hit me , but it may have been enough to bend the latches in the trunk...... but i could tell the person didnt take too much care of his just cause of the way he acted, but.,,,i wanted a maxima just didnt have a bunch of $$, so i bought this thinking it was an easy fixer uper...

Mine is the same way, it takes forever to do anything, really annoying when your window is really foggy.

I'm starting to feel the pain of buying a maybe not so greatly maintained Max as well, mine is a 96 SE with the S&C package. It was extremely clean and ran really smooth, even with 157,00 miles (it was previously a comercial use buisness car- then a young college girl's) when I got it a couple of months ago... then the problems show up, I thought I was just gonna have to fix one O2 sensor and it's one thing after another. I also bought mine for the price -$4500 (when ones at the dealer in far worse condition were going for $8000).

1. Second day I had it the power antenna went out.
2. Third day the keyless remote went out.
3. Start noticing knocking on turns, wasn't there on test drives- bad strut
4. Realise that what we thought was sap on the windshield is actually a crack
5. Find out that it also has a bad knock sensor.
6. Replace the wrong O2 sensor (or maybe they were both bad)
7. replace the other front O2 sensor and still get the code for it, probably leading to...
8. Possible ECM computer malfunction.

All of the above leading to me feeling pretty damn stupid- especially after the girl I bought it from stopped answering or returning my calls.

When i bought it none of this stuff was there....everything worked....
Thats what happened to me, and I JUST got the damn thing. How long have you had yours before things started breaking?
