Windows roll down with remote...SWEET

I was running to my 97 SE 5spd and we had a usual Mississippi Rain Storm pooring down rain....so I hit the unlock button frantically so that i can be sure all the doors are unlocked....then the front windows roll down about half way...i was so shocked..i didnt know this feature was on the 4th gen??? I was kinda freaked...i thought i know all there was to know about our car...so now i am wondering was i in the dark or did most of you guys know that too?

Press 3 times and hold on 3rd to wind them back up. You didn't even have to go back out to the car.

press unlock twice and hold the lock button and SprintMax will realize his roll-up-windows joke wasn't funny anymore after the 8th time.

I used the remote to open the windows of my car from my office window here, and that works. But then when I tried to roll them back up it wouldn't work.

Now it's raining - do I have to go out and wind them up manually?

Good one...... lol......

On a serious note, If you have the keyless entry on your Maxima, you can buy a transmitter from a dealership and get it programmed to work on your car.... After you do that, if you hold down the unlock button for a few seconds, the 2 front windows start to roll down....... You can tell if your car has keyless entry capabilities by looking on the left hand of your dash for a security light. If you have the security light, then you have Keyless entry, and all you need is the remote from the dealership.....

make sure that you have that light on the left side of your dashboard, kind of behind the steering wheel.... if you do, just tell the parts guy that you need a keyless entry remote for your Maxima.... He can look up the part number and get it for you..... I even got the service advisor to program the remote for me <I didnt know how at the time>.....

its probably better to go to the stealership for the remote... Places like Autozone will only have generic remotes that wont work half the time.....

I still can't get my windows to roll up. But at least it stopped raining.

But now I think someone is trying to steal my stereo. Which button is for the panic alarm?

(Yes, I'm joking...)
