I have a clutch question

OK, i hope i can explain this well.....

ok i was probely an idiot by doing this, but when i was stopped at a stoplight my friend put my car in 3rd when i was not looking. THe light turned green and i went away, and i relized what he did. I though what the Hell i can make it anyways. I started going and now much clutch feels weird. At release point it feels grindy. Does anyone know what happened?

My guess is that you temporarily overheated the clutch and that is why it felt that way. I doubt any permanent damage was done.
