A/C Controls
How do you take off the A/C Control Panel? Is it easy or do you have to take off surrounding panels in order to get it off?
I want to take it off so I can replace the stock bulb with a blue LED..hehe
Also, can someone explain to me how to switch out the LED? If it's similar to switching out the bulb for the shifter then forget it because that was a joke !
Let me know guys, I appreciate any help..thanks

i have a 98 and in order for me to remove the climate control panel:
1. i had to remove the shifter trim
2. pull out the little ash tray
3. remove the screws along the bottom of the radio rack...they are now all exposed since you have removed the shifter trim and the ash tray
4. then pop out the middle top two AC vents
5. remove the screws above the climate control
6. now the unit can be pulled out a bit BUT you still have to disconnect the black tube that senses the inside temp, the power for the digital temp display and the power for the digital radio display.
7. now you can remove the climate control from the radio console and work w/it.
if you do a search someone has detailed radio removal write-up w/pics on the net. i have it at home and can look for it when i get off...i know it's a little hard to visualize all this. do a search and see if you can find it, if not i'll email it to you tomorrow.
