Quick Y-Pipe questions!! Please help

Ok guys...
I'm going to order a Budget Y-pipe based on your answers!

A couple quick questions:

1) I've got an auto...still worth it? Really? Do you still "feel" the difference?

2) Does Budget have only one kind of Y-pipe? Stainless Steel?

3) Having an auto...will my performance match or beat a 5-speed Max?

4) Any one have any problems with Budget?

5) I've heard of the "bees in a can" syndrome there for awhile...did they work that problem out?

6) Does Budget supply the new bolts with it, or do you buy them seperately?

7) Cruising around town....is it quiet? At WOT...is it extremely loud?

8) At $170 is it the best "bang for the buck"?

9) With a stock exhaust system...will I notice the gains?

10) Will a CAI make the gains larger?

****CAN YOU BUY IT ON THEIR WEBSITE? I CAN'T FIND WHERE?****

11) On their website they call it an "F" pipe...this is the "Y" pipe right?

THANKS for ANY help!!

A couple quick questions:

1) I've got an auto...still worth it? Really? Do you still "feel" the difference? - Yep!

2) Does Budget have only one kind of Y-pipe? Stainless Steel? - I think so

3) Having an auto...will my performance match or beat a 5-speed Max? - Nope

4) Any one have any problems with Budget? - Nope

5) I've heard of the "bees in a can" syndrome there for awhile...did they work that problem out? - Never got this syndrome

6) Does Budget supply the new bolts with it, or do you buy them seperately? - can't remember about the bolts but I know I got the gaskets with it

7) Cruising around town....is it quiet? At WOT...is it extremely loud? - Hardly know its there. My Supercharger intake makes the most noise.

8) At $170 is it the best "bang for the buck"? - Yep!

9) With a stock exhaust system...will I notice the gains? - Yep!

10) Will a CAI make the gains larger? - Yep!

****CAN YOU BUY IT ON THEIR WEBSITE? I CAN'T FIND WHERE?**** - I did via email

11) On their website they call it an "F" pipe...this is the "Y" pipe right? Its the same...we Canadians just looked at it and it looks like an "F"

THANKS for ANY help!!

if you had this puppy installed at a local muffler place, how much would they charge?

i just realized that i live about 45 mins away from Burlington, Ontario. Would it be worth driving down there to by it and get it fully installed down there?

Exhaust wrap?

If I wanted to wrap a budget y-pipe in exhaust wrap, should i do this before putting it on the car? motorvate.ca recommended this and it makes sense. Keep exhaust gas temp. higher and avoid metal/metal rubbing and noise from flex joint.

INCLUDES install? so, the install is basically FREE (since i assume people who mail order pay 165 US and then install it themselves)??? Only thing is i will probably have to drive there REALLY early in the morning, and then wait for the pipe to cool and THEN they will install it...or do they just dive right in?

Most mechanics wear gloves. Some places will not even install it since it eliminates the precats.
As far as wrapping the pipe. Ive always heard it was not wise to do, being that moisture could get trapped and cause rust.
I dont think adding a y pipe will make you faster then 5-speeds. Especially if they have a y pipe also
The only problem i've heard of with the budget is the rattling noise( I have it also) wich seems to be caused from the flexing of the y and rattling of the heat sheild.

when is this noise most noticeable (when the pipe is warm, hot?). If i get this installed over there, i want to make sure all the issues are ironed out before leaving so i dont have to make another trip back into canada (not that i dont want to be there, just that the border situation is a hassle these days).

Its normally heard at about 4 rpm. You should be able to hear it right away, give it gas and as the rpms come down to about4k-3.5k you may hear it. Not all cars do it, just some.
