Have your check engine codes and repair those repairs. It may not be as bad as you think. Have injectors cleaned, new fuel filter, plugs (tune up). As for handling, new struts and all new bushings underneath. The gen 4 max is a very durable, long lasting car. You can save many dollars repairing vs new one. New cars depreciate more in 1 year (plus tag, tax and title fees on new cars is ridiculous) than you will ever spend on repairs in 2 years on this max. A little TLC can save you many $. Besides (IMO)gen 4 max is the best quality built max so far to date. 95 was even better, less emissions crap on the engine.
Fix it and save dough.

When i put my KYB AGX struts on, I replaced everything with new, mounts too. If it was made out of rubber of any kind, it is new. Nothing that came off went back in except for springs, i did not want/need/desire a lowered car.
You will love these struts.

As for plugs/wires, they were replaced not long before I bought her, so they are new Nissan originals, whatever they are.

Good luck, chances are your check engine light is on due to bad 02 sensor. Common for these cars unfortunately.

that is not a bad price. But be sure they are clearly listed as NEW and see what shipping is. Some make money on shipping. I got mine for $340 shipping included about a year ago or so.

I just clicked past the 177,000 mile mark today. All I've done so far was replace the water pump, alternator, battery and regular maint. The battery and alternator at 130k miles and the water pump at 160k. As long as you take care of it, you will be fine.
