Tinting
I am looking to get a tint done on my windows and in Massachusetts the legal max is 35% for the sides and 50% for the back (i want to keep all the windows the same) so 35% max. I know there are dif types "colors" of tint out there i am wondering if anyone had a type in mind that they were realy pleased with?
If this helps any my car is a gold tan color and the interior is the same
Thanx for any suggestions

that sounds kinda strange, wouldn't it be 50% on the sides and 35% on the back?

Anyways, I have 20 or 25% on mine (can't remember). I wouldn't go with anything less. I think in NJ 35% is legal limit. What I do is if I get pulled over, I turn on the dome light so the cop can see inside from his car.

35% = Add another mod to your max!
20% and darker = Pay the cops salary!

Re: Tinting
if youre planning on getting 35% tint, since its the only "legal" percentage allowed in your area, i suggest you dont waste your money. theres no point. i got 5% tint on my side and rear, and 30% on my front windshield. granted, i cant see whos inside my car while i'm driving at night, its the ****. as for "laws" regarding tint - if i ever got pulled over for some crap like that i would easily fight it and win. so many stock cars/trucks are comin out with 10, 15% tint, not to mention that mirror tint on almost all mercedes SUVS and other SUVS. i dont know man its your call. also, a lot of you people dont understand what the percentages actually mean. 35% is the lightest ive heard of and it lets in 35% of the sunlight. thats the lightest, and the deeper the tint the lower the number. (sorry for those who understand that, but im sick of seeing people say they have "50% tint" what the **** is that?!

most of the time its only the front window tints that are illegal... you could paint your rear windows black if you realy wanted to (in IL at least). how muct tint is put on stock SUVs and such? anyone know? i think thats the perfect amount. you need to be able to see out of the backseat at times, but you still want the good looks

i live in iL. and im not sure what the legal limit is here, but i have black 97' SE with black leather. how do you think 30% all around would look? except front windshield ofcourse. i dont want anything super dark, but i want it noticable and to give my car a nice sleek look

I have 15% smoke on all my sides & rear, 35% clear on my windshield. I like it just fine. I may get pulled over, I may not. It's too damn HOT in South FL & the Max is like a greenhouse with all that glass.
Sounds like your decision will be between 35% and 20% on the sides. You can still see into a car with 20%, but as you've read here, many people think 35% is just too light.
Your decision should probably be based (at least partially) on local law enforcement's tolerance of illegal tint.
As always, YMMV.

Maybe this will help
This link should help you understand why people don't get the darkest tint and why you can't say to the cop, "that 2003 car has it dark, why cant i?"
