Engine rebuild

ohhh s**** looks like I have to rebuild my engine soon.

First of all there is no search so I cant look it up so...

the max is paid off and im still in school one more year . Im burning oil bad just changed my oil two weeks ago and checked it and only one quart left No leaks . My uncle and my friend both are mechanics. My friend fixed my tranny when the bearings went out. I got some one to do the work just need the parts. So where do I go, what do I do, and where do I start? Can I get some performance pistons from nismo??Anyone who has had any experience please respond.

Are you burning oil through the valve seals or rings perhaps you could use some auto-rx and clean up the motor a bit and see if this helps restore some of the oil consumption, or maybe did you check the ground and see if possibly there is a leak by the oil pressure sensor just a couple of ideas before you'd have to take the radical route.

I stopped at a stop light and I saw my oil light blink about 5 months ago. After the first 3 months I changed my oil. I put 4 quarts in and I only had two quarts of oil left. I was like what heck I know some oil goes away but two quarts. Now after another 2 months the light came on again just a blink when I stop. I changed my oil the next day and I only had less than a quart. Im very upset. I don't know were the leak is comming from. I put card board under the car and no leak and no bluish smoke comming out the exahust. I do have a small valve gasket leak but I shouldnt have one quart left because of that. I have changed the pcv pipe and valves. I have 116,000 on the engine and use nissan filter and valvoline maxlife 10w-30.

You were running with less than 1 quart in the motor? You're screwed dude. Did you actually measure the dirty oil that came out?

Get that motor compression-tested quick. If that's normal I'd bet your leaking badly from somewhere.

Check your antifreeze too. Oil in it(it'll look milky or dark)? Then your head gasket is the likely culprit.
