Just Bought My MAxima!!!

I all!

I just bought my Maxima! A spledide gold 1999 ES Automatique (sadly)
The model ES = SE minus the leather and the sunroof... but all the other thing are there, like the Traction controle, bose system...

I'm very happy with the car!

Before this car i had a 1991 nissan Maxima SE manual.. i very love'd this car... that why a bought again a maxima!

I might say that I thing that the 1991 was more powerfull than the 1999 (V6 160hp 182torque vs V6 196hp 180torque)

I had many question.. but I search true the site and about all my question where answer! It's a realy great site !!!
I go to another great site to... it www.forumauto.net it's a french (Québec) site... but the people there are all great...

(I hope i'm readable... becaus my first language is French! I'm frome Québec... so! I try hard to maque no mistake!

Anyway... I'm happy to talk with you guys (girl)

Congrats on your purchase. Sounds like a great car. I am from Toronto, living in Kitchener for now. All 1995 - 1999 Maximas are V6 190HP 205torque. Your 1991 felt faster because it is lighter and a manual transmission. I think the you 99 would still has an edge over your 1991 if you put them head-to-head.

Re: Just Bought My MAxima!!!

Hey there, I am from Montreal.

As you saying that you wanted a manual Maxima, right? Well I am not sure if you will change your mind or some of your friends might want one, since I just decided to sale mine. And it is exactly the babe you wanted.
1999 ES, 5-speed, 200 hp, 210 torque (MODS (my own made), + K&N) 44,118 miles or 71,000 km, clear bumper lights, sterling mist. SUPER CLEAN CAR. I love it more then my girlfriend.

The car is still on ADR m-classic 18x8.5 with Falken GR Beta FK-451
245/45ZR for sale, but they might go with a car if some one really wants it this way, the wheels are 3,5 weeks old (NEW). But I might wanna keep them for the 2004 SE babe.

In Canadian I am asking $17,800. In USA is a bit different story; US $12.000
With the wheels Canadian $18,900 and US$13.000

P.S. even though I love MAXIMA more than my girlfriend, everyone knows that cars and girls come and go.

actually the 99 is lighter than the 91. In fact the 4th gen is the lighest generation after the 2nd. maybe your very used to the 91 or something plus its manual vs auto, u get better jumps and everything but the 99 will still win, congrats on the purchase and welcome to the org.

Yeah I know... But the felling of acceleration was more powerfull in the 1991... But I'm very happy with my 1999...

Is it possible that the traction control when is on (always on in default) might cut in the "hp" in the acceleration?!

more power

hmm..i wonder if its because you feel torque and not horsepower as a driver .. i would think that the 99 max would seem faster ...by the way does the 97 have more torque than the 99 ..? i was thinking the 97 has 200 something torque?

For the Torque and HP you are right!

The difference is the cosmetic for the big part... I think the major add for this generation it's the Traction control in 1999... for the rest it's the same 95-99... My dad Have a 1995 and whe compaire the two car!

Congrats Pepide! Ca va bien j'espere! (Sorry, I don't how to type characters with accent grave/egu/circonflex). On the Cdn. forum, franglais will be acceptable! I'm from Toronto. I don't know how far away Deux Montagnes is from Mtl but there are a few Max owners from that area (multiplexor & DoubleA I think).

salut
