RSTB questions
I am considering purchasing a rear strut tower bar before i purchase a sway bar. How many have it? Does it really make a difference in the car? I have heard that the way that the back of the car is built basically makes one useless. Is this true, not that i question that person that told me that or anything, i am just planning how to spend some money and if i don't need a rear strut bar, then i will save my money and purchase something more useful-or even less useful

I have a Courtesy RSTB I bought for $40 used. The only reason I have it is because I will never get subs and I felt the Maxima could use every handling improvement possible. To be honest with you most people will tell you it make no difference, and there is no way in heck to justify the $180+ pricetag of the Stillen bar, but my first day with it taking an offramp I believe the rear end stayed more planted. Not much more, but I think it did help. For everyday lowspeed driving I have notice no difference though. For $40, I'm glad I have it.

I have the Stillen rear bar and i will tell not to buy it, but only because it was so expensive. The car definitely feels more solid and stays planted longer. Body twist is now much less noticable around high speed corners and that speed has increased consequently. Buy yourself one. If you want one that says "STILLEN", be prepared to be ripped off.

I am looking at one that actually fits a 5th gen. I am having one measure the distance between the strut towers to see if it is the same distance, and if the bolt holes are the same. I will update you when i find out something.
