Are Kumho SUPRA 712 tires decent?

I am thinking of getting 18x8" Mille Miglia evo's and putting them on Kumho's, they are pretty cheap tires considering they are on 18's. Can someone share their experiences, paying $125 each from tire rack.

On another note: I just put in the red/clear tailights? can i put hyperwhite bulbs for the corner bulb?

from experience, I can say that the 712's are very good dry weather tires. However, don't try anything fancy in the rain

That's true about almost any tire on an 18" rim. I have Kumho Ecsta Supra 712s on my 16" SE wheels and Nitto NT555s on my 18"s. For the money, the Kumhos are good tires and they hold up to autocrossing and track abuse well. I still like my Nittos better overall, but they are also more like $150 a tire.

The are great for the money, just don't try to use them in snow.

If you are going to use these all year(considering where you live), no. They are good rain/dry but terrible in snow.

If you change to winter tires, fine.

I have the 712's and they are great. Great price, great performance. My first set wore out in 25,000 miles, but it didn't matter, they are so cheap to replace.

They will work if you don't plan on racing. If you just want a tire for cruising they will be fine. If you plan on doing any racing, get a better tire.
