Nissan Vehicle Immobiliser System (NVIS)

I have Nissan Maxima 1999 GLE with NVIS. My car is not starting because of NVIS since yesterday. I tryed everthing that the Owners Manual mention, but nothing seems to be working. Does anyone know what is the problem and how to solve it.

Thanks.

Apparently when the system is tripped, you will need to have your keys reprogrammed to your ECU by Nissan to get the car started again.

You need to have the car towed to your dealer to get this done.

How do you know that the NVIS is the problem?

This seems to be becoming a recurring problem with the 99's. Several members including myself have had this happen. All you can do is tow the car to dealer and have keys/ecu reprogrammed. Cost about $120
