replaced the oil sender unit, and still leaking
after replacing the oil sender unit, i still have a leak. it looks like tranny/power stearing fluid in the front/passenger side of the car . probably powers stearing fluid, cause the pump was making a little noise, until i filled it. looks wet around those two hoses right in front of the radiator. And oil right above where the sending unit is. any ideas on what it is? oil pan gasket? i cant stand leaks!
thanks
Mike

what year is your car?
I have a 97 max (4/97 manufact. date) and right after I bought it in Feb/2003, i took it to the dealership (the only time). They asked if i wanted the two recalls fixed. I knew about the alternator and asked about what the other was. I was told that there was a problem with the clamp on a powersteering hose. I believe it was the return to the reservoir, but don't quote me on that. I can't remember if they tightened it or replaced it or what they did, but theres a recall for this on some maximas. Check into it if you think its power steering related.
